‘STAR’ of the Week
Each week the grown-ups choose a member of our class to be star of the week and they get a special certificate in celebration assembly. To be a star of the week you have to be spotted doing something extraordinarily fabulous. I wonder who will amaze us in this week..?
14th July - This week we are really proud of all of the Year 3 class for their superb performances as bakers in Cinderella Rockerfella , they put in a huge amount of effort !!
I can't wait to see them in staring roles in Year 4
30th June - This week we are really proud of Liam. He is making a real effort with the presentation of his work and his handwriting has drastically improved. Keep it up Liam
17th June - This week we are really proud of Olivia because she independently completed an excellent box it up plan in Pie Corbett - All about Zebras!! She ensured all the features of non chronological reports were included
8th June - This week we are very proud of Joseph because he wrote an excellent paragraph plan for the Cinderella story and gives all set tasks 100% effort.
Keep it up Joseph!!
26th May - This week we are really proud of Richard he has shown real enthusiasm throughout this topic, produced excellent homework and filled our brains with fun, interesting fact!! Keep it up Richard
19th May - This week we are really proud of Gerard because despite being away last week he has come back enthusiastically, caught up on all the work and given 100% effort
We are also really pleased with Aimee because she has done a brilliant job in her maths progress book and is supporting her peers if they are finding something tricky.
12th May 2016 - This week we are really proud of Casie, she now comes in every morning with a smile and has been giving all her work 110% effort. Keep up the good work
28th April - This week we are really proud of Alex, he created his own maths game at home and brought it in to share with the class!! He has used what we have been learning in Maths makes sense and applied the skills at home
21st April - This week we are really proud of Darren because he has been working really hard to learn his 10 times table, practising at school and home
13th April - This week we are really proud of Megan she did a lovely piece of homework, with pictures and facts about mountains.
24th March - This week we are really proud of Sam, he has worked hard to improve his presentation and not cross things out. He always tries his best and gives his work 100% effort
17th March- This week we are really proud of Maize because she has been trying so hard to improve her handwriting and has taken all the adult feedback on board and applied it to her writing
10th March - This week we are really proud of Liam because he has been trying really hard to improve his hand writing and it looks a lot neater
3rd March - This week we are really proud of Brett, he has been offering to help other children in maths and always completes activities to a high standard
25th February - This week we are really proud of Alex because he helped his peers with rhyming couplets in poetry and inverse operations in maths!! Great partner work
10th February- This week we are really proud of Alfie because he has independently remained on task, asking for help when he needs it.
4th January - This week we are really proud of Gerard because he always concentrates really hard on set tasks and put a lot of effort into his work!!
28th January - This week we are very proud of the whole class because they have all produced some great joined writing an are making an effort to practise at home as well
21st January - This week we are really proud of Jack for all the effort he has been putting into his maths work, he worked so hard yesterday he got all the way to super gold
We are also really proud of Leah she is always polite, kind, offering to help and never without a smile
13th January- This week we are really proud of Olivia she has produced some excellent homework including - Facts about the Roman times, Roman Soldier facts and maths stories using Roman Numerals!!!
7th January - This week we are really proud of Aimee, she is new to Year 3 an has settled in really well and is an asset to the class
10th September - Well done to Ross this week, he learnt his 3 times table!! We are very proud
21st September - Well done to Richard, who had been consistently working hard and producing some excellent homework and Gabrielle who always gives 110% and is a role model to other children in the class
24th September - This week we are really proud of Liam, he has been super in maths and done some really good partner work
1st October - This week we are really proud of Darren, he had great ideas for a revolting recipe "slimy hotdog" and magpied time words. We are also proud of Jack who tried really hard in poetry to come up with sentences for rhyming couplets, he had some interesting ideas!!
8th October- This week we are very proud of Jayden, he practised tying his laces with Mrs Groom last week and could do them independently this week!!! Just shows that perseverance pays off
We are also proud of Liddy who has shown a real enthusiasm for reading and is really trying hard to sound out words
15th October - Well done to Casie-Leigh, in topic she designed some excellent packaging for her seasonal scone, she included all the features on the checklist and got on with her work
22nd October- This week we are really proud of Isabel she has been concentrating on her work and shown good listening skills
We have also been very impressed with the improvement in Callum's handwriting
06/11/15- This week we are really proud of Sam he tries his best with all is work and asks for help when he finds something tricky
We are also impressed with Mazie she found 5 interesting facts about Julia Donaldson, using information sheets in topic
20th September - This week are really proud of Joseph, he has drawn some excellent pictures in the style of different illustrators and taken all feedback on board
26th November - This week we are really proud of Josh, he did some great self assessment and made improvements and corrections to his traditional tale, using a dictionary to help him.
2nd December - This week we are really proud of Imogen, she has written great traditional tale - the clown and the witch. She always works hard to make her work brilliant
10th December - This week we are really proud of Milo, he did some excellent writing in Pie Corbett for his traditional tale
14/12/15 - We couldn't choose a star of the week this week, because they have all been fabulous!! We are so proud of everything they have achieved this term and look forward to the next
